Enjoy the weekend with a bottle of Sussex wine

With the weather set to warm up and lockdown restrictions easing, why not have a picnic with friends and celebrate with a bottle of Sussex wine? We are proud that Sussex boasts amazing award-winning vineyards and below are our handpicked favourites.

Wiston winners ‘Winery of the Year’ - WineGB Awards 2020

The Goring Family has stewarded Wiston Estate’s land since 1743 and it is presided over today by Richard and Kirsty Goring. Their English vineyard, planted in 2006 with traditional Champagne grape varieties, is the fruit of Pip’s (Richard’s mother) long-held dream.

Offering a fantastic selection, you can buy online from Wiston or shop the range from Butlers Wine Cellar in Brighton and Bottle & Jug Dept in Worthing.

Stopham sparkling and still white wines

As still wine specialists, most of their production is for exciting white wines based on their Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Auxerrois and Bacchus grape varieties. They also make sparkling wine with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

Buy online direct from Stopham.

Bolney wines: a full range of luxury English wines

Bolney are most passionate about producing red wine, alongside sparkling and white wines.

Head winemaker, Sam challenged herself back in the 90s to create a quality English Pinot Noir at a time when the industry and consumers considered this impossible. Fast forward to the present day their Pinot Noir has won multiple national and international awards, becoming well-known for their Pinot.

Bolney also produces white wine for every occasion, still or sparkling. From their crowd-pleasing Bolney Bubbly, to their sophisticated Pinot Gris and Blanc de Blancs.
