BITE Brighton Seafood Festival 2027

Following the success of the BITE Brighton Oyster Festival in 2026, we’re casting our net a little wider in 2027 with the BITE Brighton Seafood Festival.

From Friday 11 – Sunday 20 June, we’ll be celebrating Brighton and Sussex’s delicious seafood hospitality and heritage with ten days of eating, drinking and events across the city – bringing together restaurants, chefs, fishers and local producers, with plenty of fun along the way.

Keep up-to-date by following BITE Sussex on Instagram or Facebook, and registering at the bottom of our home page for our e-newsletter (don't worry we won't bombard you!)

THE £10 CATCH: Across the festival period, curate your very own trail and hook yourself a £10 seafood snack paired with a glass of wine, cocktail or 0% serve at some of Brighton’s best restaurants and bars.

SEAFRONT SEAFOOD SUNDAY: Fishers, street food, Sussex vineyards and distilleries hit the seafront for one day only – plus the return of the BITE Sussex Oyster Shucking Competition for restaurant professionals.

NOSH-TALGIA SUPPER: BITE Sussex and English’s of Brighton dive into the great British culinary repertoire for a collaborative dinner where nostalgia gets a thoroughly modern makeover.

BITE: OFF THE HOOK: Chefs, fishers and foragers take over Brighton Beach House for an evening exploring sustainable seafood and what we can – and perhaps should – be eating from our seas and shoreline. Chats 'n' snacks will be the catch of the day!

SEA WEED & EAT IT: Forget the fish for a moment as we delve into the surprisingly delicious world of edible seaweeds and coastal plants at one of the city’s leading vegetarian-led restaurants.

SLEEPING WITH THE FISHES: A very special BITE Sussex charity event after dark at SEA LIFE Brighton – the world’s oldest operating aquarium.
