Marriott International opened its first property in Brighton at the start of July, writes Nick Mosley.
As the world’s largest hotel chain, Marriott operates and franchises over 9,200 properties in 144 countries with the new Four Points Flex by Sheraton Brighton being the latest addition.
Formerly known as the Kings Hotel on Brighton seafront, the property features 95 refurbished en-suite rooms spread over three connected town houses with many offering direct sea views. There is also an ungraded reception and bar area with restaurant seating for breakfast.

“It’s very exciting to be the first Marriott branded hotel in Brighton” said general manager, Shaun Donachie.
“The brand aims to deliver a friendly, efficient and comfortable stay. Four Points Flex by Sheraton generally has a modern, comfortable, and functional vibe, focused on providing a simplified and convenient experience for guests. It's designed for travellers who value essential amenities and a seamless stay, with a focus on smart design and warm hospitality”.
“The guest journey, from check-in to check-out, will likely involve a mix of digital and traditional hotel services. This includes digital check-in, digital key access, in-room facilities and food and beverage like breakfast, potentially accessed via the hotel's mobile app or website”.
