BITE INTO THE SUSSEX & BRIGHTON FOOD AND DRINK EXPERIENCE WITH US

BITE is brought to you by the original team behind the renowned Brighton & Hove Food and Drink Festival. After over a decade of celebrating Sussex food and drink, we’ve taken the past 18 months to re-imagine and remix our event format to bring BITE bang up-to-date for the roaring 2020s.

You can look forward to two BITE Sussex festivals each year – every September and April. Each festival runs for ten days and features one-off themed dinners, chef-producer collaborations, wine tastings, cocktail promotions, trails, tours and tastings. Our current focus is on venue-led events – at the bricks-and-mortar restaurants, hotels, bars, vineyards and venues that serve up Sussex 365 days a year – but when the time is right then we’ll be introducing a new programme of bespoke, premium outdoor events.

Through BITE, you’ll see the return of many of the Brighton & Hove Food and Drink Festival’s most popular events including FoodLAB, Sussex Cocktail Week, Sussex Wine & Spirits Festival, The Three Chefs, Tapas & Wine Trail, and the International Chef Exchange. We’ve also got oodles of new event ideas to not only promote gastronomic tourism but also champion young people and emerging talent in Sussex hospitality and farming, including our Sussex Rising Stars Awards.

We know you're overloaded with emails, so stay in the loop by following us on our social media channels:

In the business? We’ve always seen our consumer events and our business-to-business networking as two sides of the same coin, so for our BITE partner businesses we’re also running our twice yearly trade showcase days, two media/trade launches and a host of B2B activations to engage hospitality buyers with the growers and makers who produce the bounty of Sussex. If you are a local food and drink business then GET INVOLVED and join the coalition of the Sussex food and drink willing.

BITE Sussex Spring Food & Drink Festival, Friday 1 - Sunday 10 April 2022
A word from our Patron Sir Peter Field KCVO KstJ JP, Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant for East Sussex:

“I’m proud to give my support to the Bite team promoting and celebrating the hospitality and food and drink offering of Sussex and the city of Brighton & Hove. Food and drink are such an important part of the cultural and economic life of our region and through Bite there is now a dedicated team who are championing the businesses and organisations that will be at the fore of the collective recovery and regeneration of our high streets and wider gastronomic tourism. This work is of vital importance and will help develop our local, national and international markets".
